Sounds like more than just the engine swap. Im insured through Adrian Flux on a 325i and its costs me £415 fully comp with all mods declared, ie the suspension etc

BUT im 35, max no claims bonus, safeish area, car garaged, thatcham imobiliser, limited mileage.

Also remember that Adrian Flux are brokers which means they are only advising the quotes they receive from insurance companies

not really-manifolds are different, 2.5 block has 2.5 samped on it...

take out a spark plug, insert a straw in, and mark it at TDC and BDC, voila-got the stroke.

Top marks to skyinsurance ! i rang them after beemerlads recommendation, they matched the ridiculously low quote i had form elephant (£205 FC - 318is), but before i realised it (long story!) my girlfriend renewed the insurance on the BM through elephant. Will definitely be giving skyinsurance a bell in the future, there customer handling was ace!
