Having not seen my M3 for the best part of two weeks, I can't remember whether I have the 13 button computer or the other one (how many buttons on the other one?)
Anyway, for some reason I suspect I have the latter of the two, not the 13 button jobby. The cars an 89, correct me if I'm wrong. Oh, I've side tracked again...
What I'm trying to ask is how easy would it be to fit a 13 button one if I haven't already got one? Worth doing? given that I've got to do something as the display is fecked on my one.

The other ones 6 I think, I had the full one in my 325i and now I just have a clock in the iS! Don't really miss it to be honest, it was fun for a couple of weeks then I found it quite gimicky. <flame suit on>
They totaly lie as well, saying you have a massive range, then panicking and plumiting LOL
Actually I do quite like em, but wouldnt go to the hassle of fitting one.

Forgot to say if the displays screwed you can just buy a new one from the dealers

On the M3 it's more than likely that you have the 13 button BC, the other 6 button job is pretty much worthless.

I'd say you're more than likely got the 6 button computer, as it was standard fitment for the M3.
Like has been said, after a while the 13 button fun wears off, and the fact you can't have MPG and the temp in celsius really p1sses me off!
On the 'poor mans' 6 button at least you can change the clock between 12/24hr clock, and change the temp between celsius/farenheit.
If you're display is malfunctioning, then you can get them from the dealers, but theyre damn expensive!! If it's just the display back light that's gone, then it's a simple job of changing a back light bulb.
