Out of curiosity as I've seen them referred to as both on here.
P.S. I could have sworn I added an 'Other' option.

Officialy a touring, but I tend to refer to it as the tourer or the hearse because it's black.

It's a Touring. Mind, it doubles as a van - mainly Valentines Day, Mothers Day and funerals (any time!). In our family it's known as "Blingmobile".
Call mine an estate car, or tourer, at your peril!! (as several un-informed morons who've had a patented essbee tongue-lashing will testify!)
Oh yeah! On the subject of hearses, several of our customers have commented that it's nicer getting their funeral flowers delivered in a nice gleaming black car rather than a signwritten white (or even worse, black & yellow) van.

I think 'Tourer' is used more often to describe BMW motorcycles.

defo the touring.
i aggree with KDS that the word tourer tends to refer to bikes more than cars.
stu (essbee), where do you work exactly???

In convo I tend to refer to mine as a Tourer
,certainly not an estate, that defines something like a Sierra,or worse!

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
