Theres an easy way and a hard way.
Easy way: There is someone selling the 4-5 stud converter in the for sale parts section for £120 IIRC
Hard Way: M3 conversion

Im doing the five stud thing myself, the backs pretty easy, use a 325 rear axle and simply pull out the four stud hub and fit a five stud from a 323 compact, these hubs are approx £45 each from bmw without the vat.
The fronts are a different matter,M3's the way to go,just bolt it on,the problem is getting hold of the bloody struts, the last set to sell on ebay a couple of weeks ago went for nearly £800!!!The dealer wants £330 for a bare strut and £70 for the bottom knuckle, then theres the matter of the hub and bearing which weighs in at £160,i nearly fell off my seat when he told me this lot down the phone.
I've read that an e36 strut will fit using an e30 top bearing and spring but the car sits high,i m about to break a 328 so this will need to be investigated and i will report back.

Forgot to say,on the rear axle you obviously have to use the compact five stud disc, this is larger than the 325's so the outer rim has to be machined down to the same diameter as the original four stud disc.

I know,it's silly money, still where there's a will there's a way.I need bigger stoppers up front as im dropping the 328 engine in my 316,plus it has drums on the rear, poverty spec. Also i've just got my mits on a brand new set of 16" borbet A styles, five stud, the ones that the veedub boys cream themselves over!
