323 dirt cheap ***I GOT IT !!!*** read last post

i can get ahold of a 323 dirty cheap, it has tech 2 kit on it, but without spoiler but i have a spoiler at home, its in red, im wondering if its worth buying it, just for the kit (yes its that cheap)

hasnt got front seats, he said its a 323 but classed as a 325? (i dont really know much about higher engine models). I havent had the chance to look at the engine yet.

but if i get it, and anyone wants bits from it, i may end up breaking it,

ill only put it back on the road if the engine is ok, but then again may have the engine for my car

aparently its done 93k, but havent asked about paper work to back this up.


should I get it and have a go at it?

its on a private plate and i havent bothered checking it up yet to see what year it is

EDIT: just done the check it was made in 1985 and its exact cc is 2316cc

would the kit fit my facelift model?

I would see if it can go back on the road the 323's are rare they only made them for 2 years.

Don't bother ,323s are worth F.A as a car. If the kit is genuine obviously that has a value and it may have a lsd but the rest is landfill. Don't get me wrong,in its day it was a hero chariot, but 20 years on its (probably) a smokey , wheezie, rusty turd worth zilch. 325s are so cheap now unless a 323 is truly exceptional why bother ?.

ok i did get it, it had nopapers or anything with it, its been standing there for a few years he says.

there seems to be primer on the roof, in a couple of medium sized patches.

every wheel on it is different, the best thing about it though, it has a complete genuine mtech2 body kit on it.

the only thing wrong with the kit is that it has a centemetre patch of flaked paint. and has one very small scuff on the corner of the rear bumper.

it has no front seats and there is a load of wires hanging out of the glove box (which i dont know what they are for) has 93k on the clock but no paperwork to support this.

some faint grimey muddy stains on the boot and other various places.

ive heard the car turn over. but he said the only thing missing from the engine is a TEMP SENSOR, and he said it was more than likely empty on fuel but who knows?

will take pictures later when i get my birds camera here.

anyone want bits from it if it doesnt start. will be breaking if its worth it money wise.

2 stealies and 2 bmw alloys at the back 5 spoke style oh yeah and the front right wheel doesnt have a hub cab and a snail is living on it.

I've got a pretty mint 323i, with disc brakes all around and tbh if you bore it out it is the same if not better than a 325i, well my one is as its not a rust bucket!

i belive the stroke is the difference - 325i to 325i.. making it the same.

no temp sensor means no coolant afaik as it uses coolant tempt to adjust fueling, wouldnt be trying to start it without one..

sound like a bit of a shitter to be fair.. glass fibre tech 2 kit?
