CLEANING UP THE ENGINE BAY
Moderator: martauto
One of the cars has had lacquer sprayed all over the engine bay and not only is this now discoloured but parts have come off so the area looks a mess. Don't wan to use cellulose thinners (on the metal parts) because that might dissolve any plastic/PVC it gets on. Of course, can replace the PVC covers on some items (air box etc), but the lacquer is everywhere, everywhere. Which ever way one works it it is going to be a hard slog to getting the engine bay on this one to look good so any helpful tips will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance any engine bay buffs.

my car has also been sparyd with the laqure and ive tryd alsorts to get it off Degreaser, tinners, terps, and an acid allumiun cleaner on the alloy bits but it still wouldn't shift. in the end i wire brushed it off the alloy bits but as for the painted surfaces its still there!!!!
