Thanks guys - Pics don't do the car any justice- trust me the car is much...much better in the metal.

Simon - saw this car a year ago in my works car park. No 2.7 or Alpina badges just the decals. Looked around it and couldn't believe how good its condition was and its stance/looks. I was smitten and compelled 2 leave a note on the car asking the owner to contact me. Also went back 3 times to check if the note had been removed. On fourth visit note had disappeared and i gathered it had blown away (or discarded) and that was the last i'd see of the car

A few hours later got a call from the owner and got chatting. He had owned the car for 14 years (previous two years used as a BMW demo). In all fairness the owner was a top bloke and to say he looked after the car is an understatement!!!!

A year later after much negotiating and research I aquired the car (2 weeks ago).

The car has done 147000 miles however - Engine was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago and was last dyno'd at 229bhp (and for the doubters, its good for 150)!!!!

New suspension, clutch etc.

Bodywork is near mint.

Interior is exceptional.

Came with a lever arch full of receipts.

Their are no rattles, knocks or squeaks. The car drives, sounds, smells and moves like a brand new car.

I'm fairly confident with a bit more work, it could be the best about. (All credit has to go to previous owner, who is more of a freind now)

As for the price - Worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!

(will try and get some better pics)

Regards

the standard manifold is not as bad as we all think but what a 6 branch will do is let engine breathe at high rpm.

on the 2.7 u will gain nice on the top end and won't lose much at all bottom end because of the stroker nature of the engine

2p just my experience with mine
