hi everyone. hope people can help me, have a number of questions

The m3 im looking at is a 1989 215 bhp e30 black ,black leather. guy will take 5800 and has 78k with german and uk history for proof :D

even has an original radio in it :)

1) i have the chassy no so can this be checked by bmw even tho its and import?

2) he says there is small amount of damn under neath the drivers side pedals. says he spoke to munic legands and its proably a issue with the sunroof drainage? he says its deffo not coolent and is normal water. no other wetness anywhere else in the car. - can anyone help with possibles e.t.c. on this?

im very intersted in this and its in london and im in cornwall so i wanna get as much checked before i go to get it :)

thankyou in advance people,

best regards

Hi mate

1 Yes they will still have the chassis number on their system.

2 Could also be rust under the windscreen, and on the bulkhead, so get this area checked thoroughly, the E30 M3 seems to be notorious for rust in this area...

If you'd like to PM me the last 7 digits of the chassis number I should be able to confirm that it's a 215bhp model for you

there is a runaway for the scuttle i think on passenger side
it runs down tube towards bell housing
bear with me because im working from memory

check tube isnt blocked

maybe a good place to check

also pull fuse box to one side if you can
there is some sealer underneath it that can crack and let water into footwell

if you put your hand into drivers wheel arch below fusebox there is arust trap area
check it hasnt holed as water will go through from road

hope it helps
