as in the title the central locking on my touring is stuck open as if it were deadlocked in the open position. i had it all working and its been fine since sunday but after greasing a sticky boot catch the car refused to lock. inside the control unit one of the two brass switches(relays?) is stuck open/on so i swapped it for the good one from the calypso se but still no use.the drivers door lock wasnt working properly so i stripped it out and the spring for the deadlock had fell out so i rebuilt it and put it back but still nothing.any suggestions welcome cause im loosing hair rapidly and a bald head is not a good look for me

My £50 'arcticmeister' touring turd has just done the same thing and there has been language !. I have never come across this before ,though on several occasions i have seen them deadlock closed ! so maybe i should be grateful !. I am currently trying to fix it so i will keep you posted on how i get on.

been having a look at it and found that when the drivers door loom is disconnected the relay in the control box disconnects.this is the relay furthest from the connector block and is fed by the red and black wire from the door which shows a constant live hence the permanent relay on situation.not sure if this has anything to do with the present open deadlock situation but the control box in the calypso doesnt seem to stay on like this.
another thing i did was to remove the solenoid from the drivers door which was also stuck open even though it isnt supposed to deadlock and in sheer frustration i took it apart with a large screwdriver and found no logical reason for it to be locked although by that time it was too far gone to test properly (need a new one now if anyone has one) could the solenoids have all simultaniously burnt out?

got this sorted at last but it was no quick fix.i think the control unit was sending a constant signal to the solenoids to open which eventually burnt out the motors as when i pulled a solenoid apart the plastic gear inside was stripped of a few teeth and the motor was siezed solid. so i had a little fun over at dazleeds changing all the solenoids and control unit.
massive thumbs up to daz for donating the parts for me
