Jesus... what a car... they can take their time repairing my 328i sport... the 530d has it all. tv, satnav, sports leather etc etc... and for a diesel... I'm so impressed...

willpostpics later, but its the sport model, all singing all dancing, with automatic lights and wipers FFS!

its meant to be good on juice, so far 200 miles average 20.1 mpg!

Whoops!

if you like that, you'll die for the 535d!! they had to de-tune these coz they produce more torque than the M5!!!

Because it was not my fault, the other person has excepted liability, as in i wasnt in the car at the time!!... so I told my insurance company that I needed a BMW like mine... the closest they had was a 3.0 litre diesel 5 series... so I told them i wasnt happy but it would do ;)

Turns out it costs £7,500 per month to hire...

Yup, dipped into the low 19's today...

lovely motor tho... getting used to the torque being low down... a bit different from my 328i sport, which needs revving

we done the same when my friends 328i went in for some repairs, they give him this saab diesel, we took turns thrashing the bolloks off of it, i mean we were holding it on the rev limiter in first for like 10 seconds before changeing gear, it was saying 18 miles to the gallon when they took it back, it was on 50 something. it was a real shitty car, gutless as @uck.

Old or New 93 - the new 93SS sport saloon will leave your 320i for dead.
Even the old 9-3 will be nigh on as quick as your 320i so i fund it quite funny you say it was gutless.
Does that mean your 320i is gutless too???

Where did i say shit about your car - your words not mine...............
Just find it funny that you drove a Saab that has similar perfomance (if not better in gear grunt) to your E30 and you say it was gutless.
Ive driven both and compared to a 320i the 9-3TD's is if anything quicker in real world terms.
Cant help but think if you got a BMW hire car it would have been smashing but because it wasnt it was crap.
9-3 Tds are not the most powerful cars on the road but they are not a million miles away from your E30 and do 50mpg.
And what was that last sentence about??

calling my 320 gutless. and it wasnt me who had the hire car it was my mate, he wanted a bmw hire car but they gave him a saab... so i take it your a saab man then? we all make mistakes. the 320 is not gutless as i say and i have beat many saab's away from the lights so dont give me that..... '' they are quicker in real world terms''. your so quick to slate the 320's arent you? the reason why im doing the conversion is the fact that the 320's a minter and i would be very hard pressed to find a better condition 325i without paying sport prices. and whats all this 50mpg????? you dont but a 320 or a 325i for fuel econmy, as iv said before... i go to the garage fill her up and pay, i dont give a @uck about the price. im not going to grumble over pence.

Mate - your just making yourself look silly now.
I never directly slated your car at all - i merely stated that your car has very similar performance to one you called gutless....
Fact is a 93 Turbo Diesel is as quick as a 129bhp E30 320i and thats not some load of old twaddle its fact like it or not.
Therefore its logical to assume if you slate the 9-3 as being gutless then your car cant be alot different can it??.
And where did all this nonsense about being quicker away from the lights than Saabs?? - is that a comment about all Saabs in general or just diesel ones?? - i would love to see you take on a Petrol HOT Saab in a 320i,Yes you might be ok off the line but once moving they will reel you in and spit you out the tailpipe.......
Ive owned 320's,325's,520's,525's and an E34 M5 3.8 so you can see i have nothing against BMW or 320's.
Yes ive also owned Saabs and have a good many friends who still do.
They're bloody good cars for the money and it pisses me off when people slate them for no reason.
I guess you could say it winds me up pretty much like someone whos clearly very passionate about a certain 320i - perhaps you understand where i coming from now

now to me thats slateing my 320 and 320's in general. and im not just passionate about the 320 its e30's. its the reason why i am here. you dont come onto a bmw site and defend saabs, whats up with you man!

Now thats what 'free speach' is about.
And ill stick by my statement - you cannot criticise one car as being gutless when your comparing it to another with similar perfomance and start crying when i point out that if car A is gutless then by the same standards car B must be gutless too......
I can see this is going nowhere so ill leave it at that.
