Hi Guys, i know this has probably been covered to death in other threads but im struggling to find a definitive answer.
I own a mint 320i touring AUTO and im wondering if a throttle body swap is worthwhile in terms of a performance upgrade?
Ive been offered a 325 t.body but the seller has also said its worth swapping the inlet manifold from the 325 at the same time??
Id really like to know the pro's and con's of doing this swap . Most importantly my engine is a low milage example im planning on running for a good couple of years with no probs if possible, and im wondering if im gonna just open a can of worms?......
p.s. what airfilter should i go for!?? just a panel swap?

cheers.
droppin a 325 in right now isnt an option for me, if my head blows ill consider it.
i actually like the performance of a 320, might not be blistering but has nice torque feel and kicks off at 4k RPM.
are any further modifications needed when fittin t/b and i/m in order for it to all work perfect or is it a straight no nonsense swap?

nice one Argos,
thats given me a bit more peace of mind. You reckon a zone chip? (this bit is goin to sound daft) do you mean open the ports on the 320 head? Its just i was hoping to go back to standard trim if unhappy with the results and for resale purposes.

Yep - open up the ports on the head as the i/m will have bigger ports then the head does.
Im sure i told you this when i saw you (except the chip bit!) best bit it that it looks standard under the bonnet!
So, do you want it then?
