just had a race with the above and itll have to go down on record as my first defeat
there wasnt that much in it tbh,id say it was probably about the 350bhp mark and he resorted to a dodgy overtaking manoeuvre to shake me off but i have to admit there was no way i was catching him.i blame my dodgy fuel pump...and the sun was in my eyes etc....

no shame in that - they aint slow dude, used to have one myself (although to be fair, you probably would have kicked my arse, only 250hp) -
R32s not as heavy as the later ones either. Was it a GTR or a tuned GTS?
Bet he was more shocked by how close you stayed to him!!! May pop over to gtr.co.uk to see if anythings been said.
Cheers

its a great feeling when you pin and shut down a car that dont expect it.
i blew away lots of cars in the M3, and in my tech1 when it was running nitrous!!
rememver on the way to donny last year, i shut down an e36 M3 gt, on wis back bumper at 155mph then when all the way to 172 on the GPS!!!!!!!
a local CSL was good fun, with him all the way to 120 mph off the lights and started pulling away but had to slow down for traffic lights!!!
i know some one will sat that its dangerous and wrong and i know it is, but we all do it!!
good on ya mate anyway

it looked like a well looked after car ,red with a black carbon bonnet,5" exhaust.maybe he wasnt even trying because it was popping and hissing as he overtook me ,sounding like a high tuned motor.im not making excuses though but im down on power at the moment top end because my fuel pump is struggling and intermitantly failing me.ive got a new walbro pump from an escort cosworth thats rated upto 500bhp and im fitting it this weekend and that will then allow me to go to stage 3 and 330-340bhp

Fuzz..how much you pumped into yer car now? ballpark fig.
Im trying to justify my 'big increase on £ going out on my car' right now and i dont like it.
If i didnt have this fookin car right now i would be stress free and my house would be done by now

Sorry to but in but thought I'd make you feel better by saying that im sure what ever amount your spending/looking to spend isn't as much as the cost of getting a new car all together like a lot people do for the sake of a new fiesta to a new bmw, yet what you'll have in the end is something special. In my case I know I'm paying over the odds compared to some to get my car close to what other zoners have got simply because of the fact that I am unable to do a lot of the major work myself and so have to pay labour. As mentoned is the reason as to how I can justify what I spend on itJAMZ wrote:Fuzz..how much you pumped into yer car now? ballpark fig.

Be majorly gutted if anything bad happened to it though coz I know insurance wouldn't pay back close to the total amount of time and cash pumped into it. Fingers crossed and touch wood I never have to 'press 1' to make a claim

jamz mate, this ones cost me around £7000+ so far and ive only had it a year.i dont try to justify it as its my hobby.you have some low points but the highs are worth it.my last project cost me £28000 over 8 years only to be written off in a race with a motor bike
