PC Pads

I just got my Porter Cable and pads from my gf (thanks hon).
I'm just not 100% about the pads though, and want to check before I use them.

I got one white 6" pad with the PC which screws into the PC, this doesn't seem to be labeled. She also bought pads made by a company called "Britemax" as they were a recommended purchase by the site she bought from.

I have one white ("medium/fine polishing & cleaner wax applicator"), one black ("Ultra fine polishing & finesse finishing"), one blue ("Was - sealant applicator"), one yellow ("aggressive cut & scratch removal") and one orange ("medium cut and scratch removal").

All these pads are 7" and stick to the velcro 6" disc which came with the PC, though there is a gap between the edge of the disc and the side of the pad.

Does anyone know if these pads are ok to use or should I get different ones?

britemax are ok you wont have any probs

is the 6 inch disc that came with porter yellow and flexible ??

No, it's black. It came in a separate PC box titled "Hook and Loop COntour Pad with 6 Dust Holes Cat No. 18002"

I don't know where she got them - I got them from my girlfriend as part of my birthday present.

i wouldnt use that backing plate thats for sanding disks

i can point you in right direction if you want me too

not dear at all but made to allow flex but give enough support to pad

pm me your email and ill send info to you

a good set of pads is gunna cost around 35 quidish

that will give u 3 pads
one course
one finer cut and non abrasive for sealant application
