I need to know definitely whether a 325i touring clutch will fit a 320i saloon. Has anyone done it? Just got the clutch brand new and cheap at £40, so took a chance on it. Otherwise I'll have to sell it on the parts section and pay full price for a new 320i clutch.

No-one at BMWs been able to help and I can't work it out on the GSF website or on RealOem.com

Cheers, Ian

IIRC the only differance is the 2.5 having a stronger pressure plate, sure if thats wrong i will be corrected

Thanks - does anyone know if that stronger pressure plate still fits in? Or is it too different?

its quite straightforward you've got to change the clutch so you are going to take your old plate out.if the clutch and pressure plate dimensions are the same.then the only bonus for you is that possibly the 2.5 clutch has stronger springs in it.that said welldone i,ve just paid just over a ton for a 325 clutch for a conversion im doing.

Downside is that the clutch pedal is noticably heavier to push.
