I am, the 10-15% deiscount at the stealers is worth it. The "better driving day" (track days) are worth it, in particular Croft as it is an open pit lane. Other than that........ And given the recent fun & games over the forum, which is now found at http://www.bmw-board.co.uk/ and still going strong. I am not sure if I will be renewing my membership next year.......

Im a new member and the discount at most (not all) BMW dealers and the discount at GSF make it well worth the while for me. Im not impressed by the clubs recent behavour but my main reason for joining the club was the discount.

You do get a monthly magazine, which is not bad, and has just been revamped... Although if you were just after the magazine, it's not worth it. The discounts is probably the clincher. If you spend any amount of money at the stealers it's worth it....

I am a member...
The magazine is OK, but most, if not all, of the articles are recycled from other BMW publications.
The dealer discount is a red herring...Some dealers (Coopers in Reading for example) refuse to give the CC discount at all, others (Stratstone in Taplow for instance) give around 10% if you ask, club member or not!
However, I remain a member because I get a 12.5% discount on my classic car insurance policy due to being a member of a recognised "marque" club...That alone is worth it (£300/a insurance) and the magazines, other discounts, etc, are a bonus!

Dealers do vary on their discount, but if you have one near that does, it's worth it. I also forgot the FREE tickets to the (world?) touring cars at Brands Hatch this year......

insurance discount is the winner for me, got the six seris insured tor £100 fully comp dad and me , the IS for £400 fully comp me and dad, the 316i £250 (every family member to drive)
the M3 will need an agreed value and engineers report and with out b eing a member i will not be able to get the car insured.
my £35 fee has saved me £300 on the IS insurance alone

Kos I know you iS has a few more mods but I managed to get £308 fully comp, all mods declared (Sebring back box, Bilstein/H&R suspension plus Alpinas) agreed value £2000 and only 4 years no claims, kept on the street too.
No BMWCC discount either!
It does seem most people get their money's worth in one way or the other from the club so politics aside, seems worth while (but I still can't be arsed!)

Discounts and that are good, but like already said you can get them without the membership, not 100% on insurance though.
I was a member but haven't renewed this year as i felt it was all a bit snobish for my liking, went to a local BMWCC meet with a few others from the zone and becasue we weren't in some form of Alpina or highly valuable BMW we weren't exactly made to feel very welcome!

TBH I didnt think it was worth the money. The only thing I would have benefited from was being able to go to Croft (better driving day) cos you have to book through the office (or Nick) but every other discount people are talking about can be had regardless.
Ive been to many BMW dealers and they either give you some discount as soon as you mention it or just look at you as if you are dirt when you mention the car club.
I paid £324 with an agreed value on my M3 through Pete Best with no discount for being a member. The nearest quote with club discount was £400.
I wont be renewing but for the reason that they seem to act like a bunch of cocks.....especially after recent events. Look how much money Killian must have brought in for the club and they just behave like twats.
