Thermostat ???? Temperature ????

I just service the sport last nyt(oil,filter,coolant,plugs) i also put a new thermostat in it.
After doing all this i went for a spin and the temperature gauge now sits higher (at just under half way) than it did before.
Is this just because its a differant thermostat ?

Oh and you want to see the amount of $hite that cum out the coolant system when i flushd it !

That's what happened to my old girl ('89 320i). Nothing to worry about as now your engine is running at the correct operating temperature and no doubt reaching that temp alot quicker, as mine did.

My average MPG also went up from 33 to 34 when I changed the 'stat.
