It will fit in as an M5 V8 motor out of an E39 has been fitted to an E30 fom the Zone. There's a write-up on the Forum somewhere... do a search for 'M5 into E30' or something...
Not straight forward at all, and there's plenty of electronical trickery to be carried out, but it can be done.
Awesome project!
Giles.

Think it might be a bit too much power for an E30 though... the E30 that had the V8 in didn't last long... ended up in a mess on a track. I think he's going to translplant it all into another E30 though soon... he's currently building a V12 Touring for Dips on here! He's mental!

I wouldnt say that exactly. Wet track, a bit too much throttle and it backed into the barrier. Dont forget that someone (I wont name namesGeeman wrote:Think it might be a bit too much power for an E30 though... the E30 that had the V8 in didn't last long... ended up in a mess on a track.
