Morning Chaps,

A question for the experts! I've just bought a 325i Touring (1991) Auto.
Loving the Straight Six noise!!!! Needs a bit of TLC, but is in fantastically original condition.

My question is this: Whilst driving with the lights on, the dash illumination 'flickers?'. This doesn't affect the headlights, or anything else, radio is ok in sound quality, but is also 'flickers' in illumination as well. Second question relates to an intermittent 'warning light' from the check system. It occasionally it warns that the rear brake lights have a fault. When you check this isn't so? Wondered why this might be happening?

Over to you! Great forum & revised web site

Your dash illumination problem could be the rotary adjustor on the headlight on/off switch. I've noticed recently that on mine, as you rotate the headlight push/pull knob to reduce or increase the brightness of the dash illumination, at certain points, my dash illumination flickers, or goes off completely. Replacing the knob may fix the problem.

Thanks for the tip! Just been out and had a play with it, & I think mine is certaining sensitive to how far the knob is rotated. Another part to add to the list!
