Hi Im currently starting a turbo 325 project and are in need of a manifold, is there any off the shelf parts I can buy. For example does the 666 fabrication parts fit the right hand drive model, if not have heard the BBR manifolds are ideal does anybody know where i can get one.
Also is the 525td route worth trying, have heard its a lot of hassle with relatively poor results.
Thank you for your time Dave

Hi dave, buy one from PPF and be done with it, even tho its quite expensive it will save you any hassle/worry you would have with anything else. 666 is even more expenive and not sure if it fits or flows as good as PPF, TCD is as expensive and a log manifold which wont even fit, ITG manifold is ok and cheaper. Im not sure about BBR but if they dont make that log anymore or its more then £400 then your only option off the shelf would be PPF or ITG (i know these fit) and i would recommend PPF. Also dont forget to add 20% to anything you buy from US then you got handling charge aswell so with 666 your spending £800+ to get it in UK.

the BBR log manifolds were produced in '91 only, I had 3 , now sadly all gone apart from the one on my car.
dont bother trying to find one, there are none this side of the pind going spare
Easy enough to make a manifold, but if you want all the toys, PPF and a large cheque is the way to go

Its a shame you haven't any bbr manifolds left they sound ideal.
im only a student so a large cheque book isn't an option, if i consider making one is it best to make an adaptor pipe off the original manifold.
Do the 666 adaptor pipes work or is there space issues.
Also how about the pro turbo finland adaptor is this any good
also is a t3 turbo alright for the job, when running standard late spec CR +what sort of boost is possible on standard bottom end with out reliability concerns(head gasket etc).(Im looking for 300bhp flywheel)
I guess mega squirt is the only way to go, what sort of price for mapping and fitting.
Thankyou Dave

Hi mate, the BBR logs are gold dust and attract a high premium, I had to buy 2 to get the one I wanted.
The 666 Fab adapters will not work with the RHD manifolds, the US and all LHD e30's have two 3 branch manifolds that join into two seperate downpipes right where our steering is.
you can flip the std M20 manifold and grind the ports to match, then construct an adapter to T3 stud pattern
a T3 in 60 trim is pretty much perfect for a 300 hp max setup
MS is nt the only way, but its cheap reliable and effective dude, hence becomming de-rigeur on the FI scene
Have a look through the "update" thread on here for lots of onfo, there are no two setups the same on here

I made my pair of tubular manifolds for probably around £120 or so including flanges which has got be a pretty cost effective way!
I did have the luxury of managing to organise a mini group buy on the cylinder head flanges though which knocked the price down by quite a lot.
