I think you springs specific for a cab, as a a cariolet is heavier at the back than a saloon or touring due to the extra weight of the hood. If you do a search for H&R springs on the net you will see what is specified for an E30 cabriolet.

Touring is 100kg lighter than the cab I think, so if you use touring springs the drop you get will be lower by a little bit than what they are supposed to do, 35mm would probably give you 38-40mm or so drop. just don't use saloon ones :p

40kgs, thats like nothing!
Still raining, still haven't put the springs on!
The bad weather started when the cab was MOT'd, so its my fault!

Depends if saving money is the prime motivator
BUT - We sell Bilstein suspension and dont buy the kits as they come with H&R springs we fit Eibach springs and they do a specific cab spring and they are differnet poundage to the touring...the springs you have will work but wont be right if that makes sense
As for 6 and 4 cylinder cars springs are different they are also different for the cab, saloon and touring as a set up
But if you have the springs try and see how you get on

ah 40kgs, and yeah that will still make a difference, my sub weighs about 35kg and it lowers the touring by about 1/2" and thats already on -60mm springs! Get the tools in and it slams it.
GL with the weather, supposed to get nicer toward this weekend.
