316i or 318i what would you choose?

I've been comparing insurence and their doesnt seem to be much difference in insurence.

So which one do you think is the best buy in terms of performence, economy, costs.

I would choose the 318i if there is not much difference in running costs.

Which one would you choose?

Find the best car of each type you can, then buy the colour you prefer.

Running costs, although different, are really not worth bnothering about.

If both cars were identical, I'd choose the 318i. Seems obvious.

However, if there was a 318i and a 316i and the 316i was better maintained and/or better condition I'd choose that. Neither are 'fast' so it's not like a 325/320 question, where I'd take a doggy 325 over a 320 anyday.
