Alex(turbo-brown) ran his in Turboed M8

TBH, given the £Â£ already invested.... I'd put a k or two on there upfront, unbedded rings with boost is possibly not the best way forward for longevity

the running in of the engine would be the same with or with out the turbo . i think rings are normal done within 50 miles but with any engine id give it around 1000 miles befor giving it some major beans
Injections nice....but I'd rather be blown ;)

The problem I had was that the ECU wasn't mapped when I needed to run it in which meant I couldn't use full throttle which almost certainly means my rings aren't properly seated and never will be.

As Rich says, the rings have had their chance by around 50 miles :(

So I'd say wait untill the rings have done their thing, then fit your turbo and the engine management that it needs :)
