Issue 25 of PPC page 21. There is an advert about RPM sports cars. It says how they have there own e30 demo car with e36 front suspension and z3 rear suspension. What are the advantages to these mods??? Never heard of it before!!

Ability to fit bigger brakes and a wider variety of wheels (well, more modern.. look on ebay for e36 wheels).
I have gone the E30 M3 route to 5 stud which is V nice but am changing to MZRoadster/Coupé rear arms and E36 front M3 brakes for the massive stopping power and stronger MZ driveshafts and wheel bearings.

Anti roll bar links are also attached to the struts not the lower arms. Bigger wheel bearings can be used.
Also a newer style, and very clever (im told) Z3 diff can be used if sourced

I do realise there are 2 wheels at the rear
Just thinking about the fronts, might take a look down the breakers later on today and see what's available & how much, I'm collecting ideas / bits now over time for my project car.

Best of all, find a Compact at the breakers and take the lot off in one go. Rear end is pure E30. But 5 stud, obviously.

Well i took the plunge today and bought a set of front struts, with nice new vented / grooved discs & huge brake calipers, off a E36 325i Cab, God knows if they will fit, but for £50 you can't argue....
Cheers ed for that link, gives me an idea of what i might be up against!
If any one knows of any Z3's or compacts in there local breakers can you keep an eye out for the rear 5 stud setup

Exactly.
You don't need the axle - just the trailing arms. I know this as I may possibly be the only person to have fitted an E30 axle to a Z3
