help car runs funny when hot!!!!!

hi guys

i have a 320i se the car is fine when starting and runs fine until hot the idle keeps going up and down then when im stand still the is about to turn off please try and help me

how do i turn the idle up so it doesnt do that when im stand still so it gives me time to get the part that i need

problem sounds like your temp switch. i know you can ajust the idle speed but it is a total pain and i wouldn't do it if all you need in a sensor and an intake cleaning.
