what is the difference between sport box and normal?

ive got an early 2.5 engine and was wondering if th fitments Are the fittments the same as my normal gearbox and will the same clutch fit also are the ratios difference? and how will this effect my car?
wanted- all parts for m52 conversion

fitment is exactly the same
not 100% but i think it is just the ratios on 1st & 2nd which are different to the normal box, they are closer ratio on the sport box.

engines are the same, only differences are gearbox & LSD
