I really, really hope those bland wheels don't make it into production!

The forged 19"s on the E46 look absolutely wicked, those split spoke things look like they belong in Need-For-Speed or something!

Hopefully they're just trying not to give too much away............but then again!
I really like the look of that, looks more aggressive than the outgoing M3 deffo a grower.
How come with 400bhp the 0-60 is still only around 5 seconds though, has the 3 put on yet more weight?
I guess its still a prototype so figues are not too accurate.

remember though, they can't make the m3 faster than the m5/m6 other wise all m5/m6 owners will have pissed 70k up the wall to get beat by somthing costing 20-30k lessoguz3001 wrote:I really like the look of that, looks more aggressive than the outgoing M3 deffo a grower.

just liek a porsche cayman could be and should be faster than a 911 in that its lighter and mid engined giving it a handling advantage, but the fact that they are all tuned to a lower power becasue they are cheaper
put a 911 turbo motor in one though and it'll probably kick the 911's arse asewell as embarras many ferarris costing a hell of a lot more
Good point dude, i forgot they do this, shifty fuckers but business is business i guess.billgatese30 wrote:remember though, they can't make the m3 faster than the m5/m6 other wise all m5/m6 owners will have pissed 70k up the wall to get beat by somthing costing 20-30k lessoguz3001 wrote:I really like the look of that, looks more aggressive than the outgoing M3 deffo a grower.

waste of space in my opinion, looks like a bloody audi A4
for the same money, get a late model e39 m5 and have enough left to insure it/feed it petrol for a year
moreover-when are we gonna see it on a track like the original e30 m3?

It looks shocking but I reckon that bumper treatment and those wheels are definitely mule mock ups (Well I hope
)
Those rear lights don't work... imo the staggering of the rear lights from the wings to bootlid is a kak approach, what happened to a bit of balance!
If the coupe ends up looking like this all I can say is that i'll be awaiting the arrival of the touring m3 much more.

60% of the time it works........every time !!!
They have stated that this model is longer than the original standard 3 serie's for more comfort and leg room.oguz3001 wrote:I really like the look of that, looks more aggressive than the outgoing M3 deffo a grower.

What do you get up to in Bracknell?stuartgallafant wrote:mmm, i'll get to see this soon at Bracknell!! they might even take us out in it!
When the E36 came out people hated it and likewise for the E46. This went on for a few months and everyone started liking it.
However with the E90 - it still hasn't grown on most people and is unlikely to do so.
The M3 is no exception and looks worse than an Audi A4. Audi have stuck to their trademark shape whereas BMW have gone japanese style all of a sudden. I think the new E90 is as big as my E34 M5! It's probably nearly as heavy aswell.
No wonder 400bhp won't make it go faster than 5 secs to 60mph. Mine does well under 6 seconds with 340bhp.
The E46 M3 is a fabulous car and a hard act to beat.
Just my 50p

They've given themselves a little problem by producing a 335i which will be quite quick. Hopefully the M3 will be more hardcore a la E46 M3 CSL. The 335 seems to be more of a GT car.
0-60 times are only a small part of the enjoyment.
With any luck, they'll stick some AP brakes on the M3 from the off rather than the normal dodgy single piston effort fitted on the E46.
