I'm tinkering with the idea of converting my pre facelift '87 320i auto to a 325i manual.....

Would anyone from here be able to do it and for how much including all parts, engine and labour?

I've done a search but not found the answer i need.

Probably easier to buy a manual

Engine / Gear box = 250-700

Then ur gona have to change the peddles - Some of the wiring loom - Rear diff / Drive shaft possibly

Thats all i can think of at the momment. So part ar gonna cost you at the between 400-1000 without the labour

But i aint been in a 320i to see the differance between the pull off speeds

Is likely to turn out quite expensive then - better off just selling up and getting a 325i basically!

Pull of speed isn't that bad in a 320i manual, my auto is a pretty sluggish to be honest.

depends when you wan this done becuase im doing mine and my brothers at the moment and its alot of work, but i will have a spare engine and manual box at the end of it, so maybe one weekend ill do a swap for you with some money, can you do any work yourself becuase if you can you could park up on my road disconnect everything and ill lift it out for you and drop other lump in and you connect what you can back up and help you finish it off, really busy right now so that wouldnt be for a few months, PM me if you want anyway

What engine will you have spare 20 or 25? I may be interested - you local too which is a bonus.

Couple of months is fine as I'm not wanting to do it now anyway - spent enough on the car lately.

Unfortunately not mechanical at all so not a clue how to disconnect stuff....sorry
