I got a set of SE side skirt which im wondering whether or not to fit.
REASON TO FIT - Looks nicer with them on
REASON NOT TO FIT - Drilling holes in cill, water will get in and rot them
So is it worth it or how would u stop water going in the holes you have drilled?

bond them on, no drilling required!!! you will need the small clips whuich go under the sill (5 on each side) and a screw at the end of each skirt in to the wing and rear arch lip.
oh and this looks my 2000th post

Anyone tried to remove this later, I would like to do this but worry about how nasty it would be to put them back to original - i.e. back to having no skirts! Residue etc

it pulls of quite cleanly, but they are OE parts and hardly worth taking them off when thay are cheap to buy and fit

I say bonding them on is a good idea.
Some little scrotum faced local scag head nicked my iS lip spoiler recently so if I fit one, and side skirts, to my new se, I'll be bonding them on.
I was thinking a resin mix, thickened slightly to make it like araldite. That'll hold it on!
PS, can you get iS lip spoilers and SE side skirts in natural black (no paint). The car I just won bids on hasn't even got body coloured wing mirrors and I'm quite tempted to stick with the 'boggo' look (think chav scrotes living nearby)

I always use tigerseal when fitting these sort of things, designed for fitting kits etc so no issues with weathering.

I have a set of side skirts that is just pulled off the molds i think i will just glue them up. i think i might just try some urathaine glue that stuff can gule any thing and it has a little bit of flexablity.
