Right, I recently bought some 328i sport rims for my project (I needed E36 offset wheels that suit an e30) but as all of the rest of them they need a refurb.
Then I saw some more, fully refurbed and all the magic 7.5j (I had 2 8.5j's I was umming and aahing about fitting or selling on and replacing with 7.5's) so whacked 400 out on those (top dollar but worth it for the lack of hassle) See this ebay auction: 200008801075
THEN
I caught site of this: 250008957746
Need to fix up my 318is and to be honest, buying this has to be cheaper than replacing the fooked panels, plus it has Aircon(!), ABS, Check panel, intensive wash wipe, etc etc. Is a grand too much? I couldn't fit all of the above and sort mine for the saem money and I've hardly been feeling the love since A: Some fat moron drove into it, and B: Those scrote local kids nicked the lip spoiler off it.
Bit skint now though, full of buyers remorse and bricking it about dealing with 2 cars (in the short term).Going to have to spend evenings digging the front garden in prep for hardcore, sand and then paving slabs.
So all in all I've skint myself and made life harder in the short term.. Was it worth it???
Jai
Look what I bought..

Looking forward to getting my hands on it! I'm like a kid at christmas.
Have to go to the Building Society though and I do a 9-5.. LAME.
As it's an SE I guess I need the following:
MTech 1 steering wheel.
Sport seats in the same cloth trim.
Black headlining
SE side skirts and 'is' lip spoiler (in natural black though, don't want it to look like someone spent money speccing it do we? Check out the black wing mirrors!)
De-Chrome
Anything else?

I have an ZMroadster engine and gearbox thats going in there, along with a mix of ZMroadster and E30 M3 suspension.....
Thats why I wasn't worried about the sludge box!
All I should need is a manual pedal box if I'm swapping engine, gearbox, ecu etc. Is that correct?

Nice one mate! Looks like you got a very clean buy there, plus the extras! Those wheels look the nuts too.
Its gonna be a bit gutting to have to get rid of your iS I'm sure, but not as gutting as having to fix all the odds and sods wrong with it. Speaking of which I hope to get my car back by the weekend. Quite excited!
Anyways dude, I'll probably speak to you later in the week. Reckon we might be able to convince Paul on buying the iS now?? Check out the thread I did for him in Pub Talk.

I am gutted about the iS.
I'd grown to love the Brilliant Red (i used to hate red cars) and it was a faithful steed. My grandad bought it for me whilst I was still a student, just before he died. Shame some fat old cow couldn't understand lane discipline and decided to drive through it. Loosing battle after that.
Saying that, I haven't picked up the 325i se yet.
