right, my exhaust is beginning to annoy, just not my cup of tea,, tis loud and deep, sets of occasional alarm,, sound alright in higher revs though not so much in lower.

basically going to go back to powwe flow to get them to change it around abit.

i want it to sound raspy and tinny, more so in the upper revs as thats when the power kicks in on the IS, what specs should this be? how do i achieve this?

cheers :)

indeed... :D

ali, i did have an E46 M3 back box sitting by my toolbox at work, which i was gonna cut open to see how they acheive the sound, but some f*ck*r took it! bloody cleaners!!

i assuming, that the bafflers inside the box wobbly, or rattle, kind of like the bit of plastic inside a kazoo (the toys that kids have that sounds like a constipated duck when you blow into it!!) but im not sure!

i'd be interested to know though. we were talking about this a while ago wernt we?!

e46 exhausts on ebay,,, 25£ lol no e46 owner needs a standard exhaust do they! hence dirt cheap,, i remember i advertised my cousins on ebay,,, for 10£,,,, got no bids (about a year ago!) lol might just buy one and rip it apart.. or try and fit it! lol!!!!

Mines a powerflow back box and it sounds really raspy and rattly in a good way. Ask 320touring. Will try get a sound clip if you want.

One that some of the older fellas will remember.

Buy 1 cheap metal ref's whistle and weld it inside one of the exhaust tips.
sounds awesome with a deep rumble.

Thats what mine sounds like... and its stock with a walker middle box. When i did blow my other middle box apart, it sounded wicked wot, but crap at low revs. the kazoo thing might work, as thats the kinda effect that happened with mine

Nah its not the wallace one. That was on my old car. This exhaust came with the car. Just a back box i think. why? Yeah mines a 4 pot but its an IS hence the 16v rattle.

when i had my 318is! seems a long time ago......

but she was still sporting the factory exhaust system right through and it sounded well raspy especially at high rpm. Back then i always thought there was something wrong with it! but thats how they sound!

so sell the powerflow and buy an original system! not a cheap option :?
