If i ever get the fucker in i will!
there is one large 13mm screwbolt that there is suppose to be a provision for under the cntre console, this is what i was told by the yank who sold me it anyway.
i only know two people with them on an there is nothing i can find on ETK or any other bimmer forums
tis a tricky one!

look though that, there are plenty of pictures of were its suppose to be, it seems to be way more avialable in america than over here, i think that is because the armrest was made there.
will take some pics in a mo

My only ideas are that it bolts onto the centre concol (drilling a hole in it?). Or it uses the same bolt coming out of the floor that the rear of the cntre consol atatches to and slots in where the rear ashtray is.

there are two brackets coming down from the armrest, one braket has four small holes, which bolt into the drivers side of the rear centre console - you have to drill four holes in it, so your correct about that bit
however, on the passengers side bracket, there is only one, horizontall bolt hole (as there is no were on the centre console this side for it to bolt on to) in which a bolt is suppose to hold the armrest to the chassis/floor
it probably makes no sense; i will go and take some pictures

Thats what i mean by "you have to drill through the console", i got the correct plate and screws for that, i just havent done it yet cos i dont want to drill it in the wrong place.

an theres the bottom bolt hole, should have taken a picture of the bolt really. also hard to show under the carpet etc but i really cant find anywhere myself

Hmm tricky one
. Are you sure that other side isnt supposed to slide under the centre consol on the passenger side, then bolt up through it? Or does that not line up.
I have never noticed a bolt in this place and i have had a few interiors out.

big shout out to Andy (demlotcrew) once again for your help mate
basically the massive screw suplied by the yank was useless, and in the end the 13mm bolt holding the handbrake down on the passengers side was the bolt used to hold the armrest down.
it slides back and fourth and has cup holders, well pleased

Ahh i see
. It looked good, but knowing its the real thing somehow makes it look better! I like E30's kept with genuine OEM parts
. (despite my eyebrow spoilers and clear lenses!).
What was your mum trimming that front of the centre consol in?!
