does any one know what voltage the injectors work on, on a 318is?
i would have thought it would be 12V but i thought i better check.
i want to make them "inject" when i dab a 12v supply on them so i can run carb cleaner through each one when its on the work bench.
injector voltage?

In order to make then inject, your going to need a decent pressure / flow rate of cleaner.... they must be 12V, no reason to regulate the voltage to anything else that i can think of.appletree wrote:does any one know what voltage the injectors work on, on a 318is?

why do they need pressure? i was just going to put some pipe over the inlet fill it with cleaner and let gravity do the work.
the fuel regulator is 3bar on the ETK

Because i can't imagine the bore thought the injector being that large... I've never played with one, so perhaps i had better shut up!!!appletree wrote:why do they need pressure? i was just going to put some pipe over the inlet fill it with cleaner and let gravity do the work.

You need LOADS of fluid to pass over any muck inside in order to dissolve it away, Ideally you need to feed it with 3Bar to see the injector pattern produced at the tip...
Let us know how you get on
