Hi Guys

I have noticed recently my car was running hot, however i noticed the cold feed pipe to the filter had dropped off.

Has anyone else added extra ducting etc to allow a better cold air feed

Any suggestions/ tips would be great
Thanks

Neil

Cold air to your intake's obviously a good thing for power, but I'm not sure it makes a difference to how hot the engine runs. I'd be looking at the state of your viscous coupling / rad...

Well for a start, bear in mind that 'hot' on the temp guage ain't necessarily hot... It's not a linear scale, so a bit above what it runs at in the winter, isn't the end of the world in this weather!

But still, it's not a good thing. Get a rolled up newspaper & try to stop the fan. If the coupling's ok then when the engine's hot, the paper'll get shredded. If the fan stops, get a new coupling. :thumb:
