a 5 litre 'can' of Castrol GTX 10w40 costs

Halfords £18.99

Motor factors with 'trade' discount - about £16

Tescos petrol stations - £13.97

I hate Tescos ability to tread on farmers to give the consumer low prices, but if they can tread on the oil companies, I'm all for it. :D

Is that fully synth and enough for an oil change in the M42 engine?, I went to Kwik FIt for my last one a month ago, might buy more for next time.

erm no

my personal ideas on oil in old cars is to buy a quality mineral and change it more often than is recommended.

But ask an expert - the Oilman.
