starter motor compatibility URGENT

does anyone know what other starters are compatible with an m42 318 Is??

i have several lying around but there all 6pots as far as i know

are they useable or do i need an Is only version??

Would have thought at m40 one is the same...but if you only got 6 pot ones...

Daz - GFS list the same motor for the M40 & M42, but a different one for the M20; you need an M40 motor at least.
