I wonder how many tech 1s are left on the road 8O
At least 3 have been broken on the zone this year, and there was only 6 or 7 to start with.
Chrome bumpers are rare these days, dont see many on the roads anymore.

fuzzy wrote:tourings do indeed rock,i obviously prefer modified motors but i like to think im improving on bmw's original idea rather than defacing it,like i said before its just a tin box that im using to keep my engine in at the moment :D
By sticking ford engine in it? not sure about that one Fozz :?

im distraught at the number of Is' being broken. since iv been on the zone there has been at least 15 broken. i know a guy who has broken 2 in the last week! its such a good car and doesnt rust compared to other e30s (as much). i think, like mentioned above, people definatly have profit in mind more than restoration purposes.

remember, 15 broken, let alone the amount crashed, (iv crashed one) i rekon there is not many IS left at all

as for chrome bumpers/tec 1s, like Oz says, there is even less! a real shame but all our motors will be going up in price!

I must admit that its one of the reasons i like have an e30, especialy the tech 1 because theres not so many about.
Same reason for not liking alot of the newer bmws as there so common these days.
The oldskool beemers still rule for me.

Now that's something I didn't know. Makes a lot of sense though.

I've never seen a saloon that either hasn't been rebuilt or isn't hanging. Whereas my touring is still 100% solid underneath.

As for breaking cars - who cares? My last breaker was a very high spec '91 325 tourer. It had 6 months T&T and was a cracking runner. Original bill was £32k in '91 so you can imagine it had pretty much every extra. I only bought it for its interior. I paid £650 for it but even buying at that price I made back about £400 (profit - i.e. £1,050 total) and got the black Sport touring leather from it for free.

Basically e30s will continue to be broken as they are worth at least double in bits.

If you want to save them stop paying stupid prices for OBCs, map light mirrors etc... :D

The scrapyard for me is the best place to go for parts some parts they give you and if not they are very cheap. plus its something to do with the kids at the weekend.
