Not my car, but mates got a prob on an M3 Convertible, where the roof only lowers half way. Can anything be done manually to get the hood down so the hardtop can be fitted?

YOU CAN DISCONNECT THE RODS AND MANUALLY PUSH THE ROOF DOWN.

Found that by helping the mech by hand, it finally operated and I could fit the roof.
Much prefer my manual hood....
