New stlye e30 to old style?

Right as you may know I have written off my plastic bumper model 318i e30.I am going to look at an e reg 318i one with metal bumpers.What am I loosing out on?Power Steering?Different engine?anything I should know about?

Not sure but it might have the M10 (~105bhp) engine rather than the 115bhp M40.
You'll get the better-looking rear lights to compensate though

Wel it's an e reg. which would be 87/88??Could I put my m40 in easily??
