Hi there, ive just fitted an OBC to my car and on the whole its a good little gadget. However, I took the system out of a post facelift 320i se, and its now in my E reg pre facelift 325i. I have been trying to adjust the fuel range reading as it is, as much as I would like it to be accurate, givign a very generous figure. Ive popped off the little plastic grommet and tried adjusting it with a screwdriver, but it could only be adjusted to a figure between 51.5 and 54 litres?! I want to adjust it to about 40 litres as thats about whats in there now (pre facelifts had 50 litre tanks didn't they?) but it just wont let me.

Are you doing it with the engine running? Sorry I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure I had to do it like that...

search on OBC and TYP and the oldest thread is the one to have a gander

here it is if your seaching skills are limp

http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... ht=obc+typ

so you could be looking at a 3-9 or a 4-6?

I have a 4-6 which seems to be working fine in a 1989 325i cab

Cheers for the responses, when I looked at that before I thought that it was the 3-9 coding plug I need, as my car is an early version. So I guess i should keep a look out for one of these!
