hi,
i picked it up on saturday, it wasnt as tidy as claimed but i knocked him down on the price.
there is a rubbing/grinding noise (not loud but noticeable) coming from the offside rear wheel, i thought it was the drum but im not sure
it also sqeaks when going over bumps
the main thing ive found is that it doesnt like to start when the engine is cold, it idles about 1200rpm then drops to about 500rpm and has stalled once. then it will rise again and fall then idle at 1200rpm again then gradually slow down.
can any one help please?
also there nearside arch is rusty is it expensive to fix?
many thanks
mike

Grinding noise is probably something to do with the brake; possibly just the backplate rubbing the drum. You'll have to investigate more.mike_w wrote:hi,

Sqeaks from where? More info. required.
For the poor starting, first replace the blue engine temp sensor (under the middle of the inlet manifold) and see what effect that has. Then clean out your idle control valve, although it sounds like it might be faulty.

cheers, ill have a go at that.
as for the sqeaks it sounds like suspension or axles. happens when driving over dips and bumps. sounds like something needs greasing.
cheers mike
