starter solonoid Question

the is starter is making a strange whirring sound when ya start the car

is this the solonoid??
or is the starter dying??

can i change the solonoid from a 325/320 starter or do i need new starter??

Hi Daz, is this on the iS or one of your M20's ?

My starter sounded a bit like it was chewing up the brushes for a couple of days but it went away over a year ago.

I'd be tempted to swap it out although I'm unsure as to whether an M20 starter will fit an M42 if it is the iS.

yeah it is the Is mate

i have about 3 or 4 m20 starters

its weird as it has come on all of a sudden maybe it will go in time

but the mrs is moaning about it being embarrasing so no doubt ill have to change it if it dosent stop this week
