Hi Guys

After some advice of how low to go witch make etc

I've got a 1987 cab which is in the photo gallery at the moment.

I'm running BBS 15's, and can't make up my mind about lowering her im looking to see if anyone is selling a 35 or 40mm kit in the wanted section.

Do i do just the springs or the struts also??

Thanks

Neil

depends what you're after neil. are you keeping the 15's on there too?

if you want the car to handle better, then i'd go for the whole setup. quite possibly the 35mm H&R cup kit on the zone shop, but if you just want it lowered, you can get away with just using springs

with the fact thats its cab, you dont really need sporty suspension in it, coz cabs arent really made for thrashing it around everwhere!

we'll talk about on wednesday fella...

i wouldnt use 4 cylinder springs in a 6 cylinder car. they'll be too weak coz they're not designed to take that kinda weight. coz its a cab, you have to buy springs for a cab, coz the build is so different to a coupe.

the E46 convertibles have about 12 different springs you can use, specific to the build of that car. its a nightmare...

Hello mate ... mine's on the H&R 60/40 cup kit.
Handles like a dream and it doesn't acually drop that far. After the rear settled down I thibk the actual drop is more like 45/30.

Would highly recommend it for the cab.

Giles

And help me with my exhaust thread !!!

I didn't think H&R made 40mm springs for cabs.
Thought they were for saloons only and the extra weight will drop it further.
That was the story when I bought my set from Sal.
