Sandy,

Is the Aircon compressor in good condition. If so, I may be interested in taking it off your hands for a spare.

Cheers,

Ian.

It does go to the underside of the cylinder head, just under the exhaust fanimold. BMW handily make a blanking plate for that, so not a problem 8)

I just tucked the plug back in under the plastic cover (just below the Vanos) on my car. You could chop it off and insulate the wires if you wanted. It's just the wires that engage the Air pump clutch, so they are nothing special.

Cheers,

Ian.

I got caught out with this one. If your using the 5sp E36 M3 box use the E30 M3 Prop.
The guibo needs to be an E30 M3 item as do the nuts and bolts.
The E30 guibo and bolts are smaller.

I had to remove the flange off my gearbox to get the rearward facing bolts in....not easy lying underneath the car!

I used the S50 throttle cable, but had to move the mount on the No.5 intake tube back a little because the S50 cable is a little too long. I think Ian had his S50 cable shortened.

Ive used an M20 rad from an E30 with AirCon.

Correct. I could have moved the bracket, but wanted to keep it as stock looking as possible.

brand new sump
are you bonkers james !

I just made a new cable holder,an exact copy of the original but longer to accomodate for the longer cable.
If it ever snaps a standard replacement can be used.

Sort of :D

I needed the sump in a hurry because the engine had to be in for the first set of manifolds to be made and of the 2 secondhand ones I found, both were cracked. New was the only option at the time :(

Its very shiny though 8)
