Right guys,
I put a post similar to the one im making now up a few months ago:
http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... highlight=
Now I actually have some cash to do the conversion from a 318i to a 325i (2.7 if I could afford it), plus the clutch is dead so I'm on foot till I can get it sorted.
Its a had a few mods, including converting the rear drums to discs but essentially needs the full make over to convert to a 325i.
What I'm looking for is for someone who can pick up the car and the keys, then a while later for me to head over with some cash and pick up a 325i. I would be keen to have a bash myself as I am keen on the mechanics side of things and like to work on cars but simply dont have the time, tools or knowledge really to do so in this case.
Is there anyone who fancies a job in this case. Preferably someone close to me - Finchley, North London, but more importantly someone who is well known on the zone, can do the job well and won't be phoning me up every other day to say he hasn't progressed coz he needs this or that. Someone who has parts available. Just want it done, and done well. There were a few kind zoners keen to help in the first post and I would be also keen to have a few off the zone working on the project if something were arranged but otherwise if someone feels like taking on the job themselves for an agreed amount of cash then please get in touch. Things kinda fizzled out first time round but am now very keen to get this long awaited project done!
Hope to hear from peeps soon.
Cheers!
Nick

I've been quoted around a grand by the other zoner. To supply and fit. I'd be happy to lend a hand where I can though if necessary.

Could do it, but I'm 165 miles from Finchley (or at least from Muswell Hill where we used to live...).

Would you be able to pick the car up then?
If so, PM me your number and we'll see if we can get something sorted. Im seeing another zoner on Friday who might be able to help but would be good to know what my options are. After waiting so long I want to make sure this goes as planned otherwise im gonna have a lot of friends and family telling me 'i told you so' in reference to not doing the conversion and just buying another car instead.

i believe "Argos" on here is selling a 2.7 engine complete !
All you'd need to do is some minor wiring and hey presto !

I'd be able to pick the car up, yes. I wouldn't be able to start the job until w/c 31/07 though.NIX wrote:Hi mate,Chris-W wrote:Could do it, but I'm 165 miles from Finchley (or at least from Muswell Hill where we used to live...).
