Ive got a 318i that needs a new fuel pump, new interior, weld on the jacking point and the boot needs sanding down and painting as its very rusted. the rear arch needs doing too.

it has been sat on grass for almost 2 years.

it has 54k on the clock done less than 10k in the 5 years since hubby bought it. all old MOT's to prove milage, but has been self serviced with very few receipts to prove.

if we brought it back up to mint, would it be worth anything? or would it still be only worth a couple hundred quid (would cost about a grand to fix i would guess)

we have a 1991 318i that we can raid parts from and seems a shame to break the 2dr as it was hubby's first BM so we may restore her regardless.

i think the only thing it has going for it is the low mileage.

and TBH it sounds like a dog.

I'd break it.

Yep its one poorly pup.

not really worth breaking either, not many tasty morsels only a tidy bonnet, and bootlid, and thats about it! and even then no-one can collect from where it is in deepest darkest wales.

If I dont restore this one I will pinch the engine and make my 4dr minty mint.

the engine in the 2drwas not tappety about 18 months ago when it last ran, to would be a nice change from the tap-tap chug-chug I get from my 4dr

Really? I sold a 81k one is good nick for £5!

Oh well.. M10 heads are worth more though.

To answer the question, if you get it mint, you could make £1200+ if it has history and few owners

Prolly best to spend your time on breaking it properly.
