Hi

I know this must be a common question but what would people recomend for upgrading discs on a 318is? I have done a search and found several threads regarding big brake upgrades but none if you just want to change the discs.

Also im told that the 318is has 325 brakes so do I search for replacement 325 brakes?

It's time for a brake replacement and I really want something that can take a bit more abuse than the standard setup.

Thanks

There's plenty available, check out Green Stuff, etc.

I always go for ATE Power discs (grooved); don't know how much better they are than standard, but they're cheaper!

Yes, they're the same as 325i brakes.

From when I looked into this a while ago for my iS it looked like ATE discs and pads were the way forward, nice and easy replacement, not sure what wheels you're running as this will restrict what you can get...

on my to-do list when I can afford it!

Thanks I will do some searching for a UK supplier and more importantly some pricing.

Nothing gets on my tits more than a web site which does not show you pricing like this one :-x :-x :-x :-x

It is cheap, £18 per disc but I think I will go for a more high performance pad.

Will probably go with the Ferodo's as the Mintex 1144 are £80 anyway.
