 forgive the rudeness..

but i want to DIY a lamp into my gearstick, as i cant find one cheap enough and mine is in vgc.

i remember a thread on the old site about how somone did it with a drill but the rest is a blur, and i cant get on the old site as my passwords dont work anymore :(

Has anyone done this for themselves, or should i stop playing Robinson Crueso and go and buy one

there are two types...

25 11 2 231 550 - ///M (in centre of badge)

25 11 2 231 551 - /// (stipes in top left corner)

Badges cannot be ordered seperately.

they did do a one piece jobbie with the knob joined to the gaiter but they are way more expensive and not really worth it if your gear gaiter is good anyway.

Is there a connector lurking under the gear stick gaitor of E30's or will it have to be cut into the ashtray light?

I don't think you can scratch the back of the plastic on the m cover!

anyway, i don't have an m and i dispize people putting M3 badges on non M3 cars.
anyone with half a brain knows a 325i isnt an M3, so why put a badge on to say that is is.

just my $0.02
