Which other models/year used the 2.0 M20 engine?

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

My engine lunched itself yesterday at silverstone. That was the 2nd one of mine, and so far this season from the drivers at least 6 engine bottom ends that I know of have gone. What 5 series used the same engine? My logic is that they may have been less thrashed/better looked after so may source one for a rebuild rather than one from an E30.

Cheers
Brian

The early e34 520i used the m20b20. Are you doing a track day series or would you consider going to a 2.5 lump, would be a massive improvement.

e34 520's will be cained anyway as they need to be to get them to move as the e34 is a heavy car.

I've always found e30 320's to be the most looked after
