Wow, Thanks for the welcome!! Didnt quite expect such a nice response! I dont have any pics yet as I have to wait a week now before I can collect the car as the chap is putting a new mot on it. Apart from a little rust on the bonnet its its in really nice nick dark green, 155k, full service, new fuel tank 2 years ago, full tan leather, 15in bbs, full service history etc. I am really pleased with it. This is going to be the longest week in history!!!!

Yep!! Exactly the same!!

First things first then..What do I need to start looking at first when I get my beast??

I hope the days are gone of having to drill holes in the footwell to help drainage!! Joys of 205`s !!

welcome mate and nice choice of ride, fast, reliable and practicle.

your week seems very short compared to me, i have to wait till the end of the month before i can drive my 325 sport, and to make things worse, its sitting on my drive all alone without anyone sitting in her. :(

It's a fairly rare color called Mallachit(sp?).

A thorough service is a good first step mate.Do you know when the timing belt was last changed as you don't want that snapping !?

E30's are also a bit prone to water leaks, mind i've not heard of any one having to drill holes to fix it though ! LOL

welcome dj, dont drill holes in her, it,ll start her to rust, if you have the tools and the time,

remove seat, slide out sill on the door frame, remove the lower black panel on the center pillar, (where the seat belt comes out of) with 2 screws,

carefully undo the speaker panel under the dash,

unhook the carpet around the fan vents (look like flat twin pipes)

now u can roll over the carpet from the rear passanger well towards the opposite corner, under neath there is a dense foam stuff, which will be wet

prop it up with something and you should see a plug in the centre of the front foot well, check its condition

now try and dry it bro, and it might take a day or two

then sus out where the water is coming from, some say its from behind the fuse box that i comes in, some say its a blocked scuttle or a clogged trunk ( between the battery and the engine, funny looking black "trunk")

i have had the same prob, ive described pretty much what i did, and now im checkin daily to see how it goes

Hello again!

Thanks for the welcome again..Hopefully the new beast doesnt have a leak!! I was refering to my knackered old 205 and to be honest drilling holes isnt normally my style ...But nursing a big hangover and not being able to get in the car (ankle deep!!!!) to get home...I had great pleasure in doing it !! ha.ha :D

I am well excited now......6 days to goooooooooo!!!

Emerald mate,it uses a throttle angle switch instead of an AFM or MAF.

That spark plug performs a vital task !

Erm OK it's a bodge that i havn't got around to sorting yet,it blocks off the IAC pipe to the inlet manifold.
