I had to loosen the rhs engine mounting and jack the engine up a couple of inches to allow me to get the rearmost part of the manifold to fit between the suspension turret and the end of the exhaust studs and also removed the steering coupling to improve access but otherwise it went straight on
I also fitted a scorpion back box at the same time, sounds nice with a quiet burble at idle/low speed but turns into a proper menacing bellow at full throttle and high rpm. The 6 branch gives it a nice creamy 6 pot wail above 4k rpm a bit like the E46 M3 CSL as well
I've been for a good blast in the countryside and it definately has more power with a little less torque between idle and 2500 rpm. I nearly shit myself when doing an overtake, changed down into 2nd at about 35mph and punched the throttle, the revs shot up much more quickly than expected and I had to take evasive action to avoid clouting the rear right hand side of the car i was overtaking
This manifold is well worth the money and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.
I'll have to get her on a dyno and post the printout, I'm expecting some good results.
I'm ready for my trip to the 'ring now
Thanks to Sal for making this happen, your efforts are highly appreciated buddy
Here's some before and after shots
